Air

 (Picture)

Air

I take it all in and just hold it for a while—

my days go by and as I try—to smile

I begin to suffocate

I hate

Holding it all in

Like it was My sin

But it wasn’t.

It wasn’t mine.

And I begin to Exhale;

I see a sign—

It says I didn’t fail,

I didn’t fail, I evolved—

I revolved, I absolved, I dissolved.

I dissolved all I took in

And I begin again

But this time I’ll breath what I desire

Not the pollution; not the fire—

Not others’ sins

This Time

I win

Breathing Air

That is mine.
